So This [NOTREG] Bollocks, people put alot of there own free time into this place some of them put alot of money (donations) to keep things online. Many month ago we put in the server addverts show your support register @
www.noobfrag.co.uk but i guess people just couldnt be arsed so weve now made a plugin which will detect if you are registered or not when playing in our servers. All we want you to do is make an account and post in the forums once in a while ? Makes us the staff feel better and motivates us to do bigger and better things.
Anyways. To remove [NOTREG] simple register an account on the website (click register ^^ up there) then validate the account via your email address (make sure to check ur spam folder). Once your account is validated simply login and edit your profile then put your steam_id in. then when you join the server you can have what ever name you want.

In the last 12 months, Steam has grown 200%. There are now 25 million users, 1000+ games, 12 billion player minutes per month, and 75 billion Steam client minutes per month. To accommodate this growth, a new Steam client has been created.
This opt-in beta is available immediately to all Steam users. If users already have Steam installed on their computer, they can take part in the beta by clicking this link and then selecting "UI Update" under Beta Participation. If they don't have Steam installed, they can download it here. To preview the new Steam client without taking part in the beta, a complete rundown of the new features is available here.
Increasingly, the most effective way of reaching new gamers is through the existing players of a game. With the new Steam release, gamers will now be able to see which games their friends have purchased directly within the Steam storefront. 25 million gamers create a highly effective and knowledgeable source of purchase suggestions.
News outlets now have the ability to reach the Steam community through the new client's News aggregator functionality. Those organizations interested can contact Doug Lombardi at
-email-.
With users purchasing more and more games through Steam, new methods of library management were needed. The new client introduces library customization tools to help gamers sort, group, and find games in libraries which for some hardcore players contain hundreds of titles. In addition to having lots of games, gamers needed methods of tracking all of their achievements in a standardized cross-game fashion, which is now possible with the new release.
"We made hundreds of changes to the Steam client as a result of customer feedback on the interface, performance, and functionality," said John Cook, Director of Steam Development at Valve. "For example, we swapped out the Internet Explorer rendering engine with WebKit, which gives us a bunch of size, stability and performance benefits. This release of Steam leaves us well prepared for another year of strong growth."
Screenshots and complete feature list:
http://store.steampowered.com/uiupdate/You can check it out by going to settings and opting into the beta.
A Word of caution before you go hit the button:If you opt in, people will notice that a few of their games will start redownloading again. You need to back up your steamapps folder before you opt in to the beta...
After you've done that, let Steam restart into the beta, copy back the steamapps folder then check the games integrity. After Steam validates the files your games will be fine.

As you may have noticed the servers are currently down. This is because we have submitted a format request on our dedicated server due to the fact I've spent 3 weeks trying to pinpoint the reason for the lag spikes.
To summarize before anyone tries to suggest stuff I've already tried here is what I did:
Checked CPU & Memory for errors
Checked HDD for errors
Checked bottlenecks in HDD, CPU, RAM & Network
Changed affinitys per server
Did fresh installs of each server
Updated every plugin on each server
Installed different games to check if it was a HLDS based issue
So far the only thing I found to spike was an occasional I/O spike and this only occured on player join. Everything else was running as it should be.
So to summarize: Servers will be down for a short period until the format is complete. Hopefully we will have fixed the lag, if not we will have to look into hardware replacement.
Oh and a BIG thank you to the players who constantly rejoin because of their negative score then complain of the lag

We <3 you

Hey guys,
Drew has been hard at work looking into the problem and we think its the hard drive on our machine causing us problems. we are currently looking into how much this will cost us to replace, install etc.
as we dont rent the machine its our own, its upto us to replace hardware as and when needed. so please be patient while we wait on donations coming in to fund this replacement.
If you feel you have a couple of quid laying around you would like to donate please contact piper on how you can help us out.
again sorry about this.
